Go to the Settings tab located at the left bottom of the sidebar and then click 'Time Clock' in order to manage Time Clock Settings.

Global Settings:

Employee can manually add time clocks.                                                                                    Enabling this option will allow your employees to manually add the clock time.
Employee can edit time clocks. Enabling this option will enable your employee to be able to edit their clock times.
Lock time clocking to specified locations. Enabling this option will prevent the employees from clocking in/out, if they are not residing in the approved locations for the clocking-in/out purpose.
Time clock must have position set.

Enabling this option will force the employee to select the position before he can clock in.

Use cases:

1. Having no position assigned will disable an employee to clock in.

2. If the employee is not scheduled, and this option is enabled, then the employee will be asked to select the position before he can clock-in.

3. If the employee is scheduled and this option is enabled, then the system will automatically select the scheduled position when the employee attempts to clock in.

Require GPS location on time clock action.

Enabling this option will track the Physical location of your employee when he clocks in/out.

Important: If the employee disallows the browser to track the location, in that case; no location will be tracked, and the employee will still be allowed to clock in/out.

You can not currently restrict your employees to clock in only when they allow the location tracking.

Note: The location will be more accurate when a mobile device is used as compare to clocking in using the computers, as with computer the location of the IP address is recorded as the physical location of the employee, which can be a incorrect sometimes depending upon the location of the IP address assigned to your network by the ISP.

Limits:

  1. Allow staff to clock in within period of shift start: Define a parameter: This would allow staff to only clock in within the set parameter of their shift start time.

  2. Allow staff to clock out within period of shift end: This would allow staff to only clock out within the set parameter of their shift time.

Breaks:

Enable Break button: This will allow your staff to record when they take their break times.

Rounding:

  1. Round time clocks (Total Time) to nearest: This will round the selected timelines to the end total.

  2. Round clock-in times up to nearest: This will round clock in times to the nearest of whatever parameters you have set.

  3. Round clock-out times down to nearest: This will round clock out time to the nearest of whatever parameters you have set.

Note: Manually added Time clock/Time Punches are rounded off according to the values you set in this section.

Alerts:

  1. Alert when someone hasn't clocked in for their shift after 'X' minutes: Managers will be notified of late clock ins.

  2. Alert when someone hasn't clocked out from their shift after 'X' minutes: Managers will be notified of late clock outs.
