Customizing Approval Process for Shift Trade

Objective

The objective of this tutorial is to show you how you can customize the approval process for shift trade.


Overview

Managers can also customize the approval process to make sure that they have an overview of every trade request in order to assess each request properly before approving or rejecting it.


Things to know before you begin:

You must have a manager/admin access privileges in Humanity to customize the settings of the process for shift trade according to your business requirements.


Customizing Approval Process for Shift Trade


Step 1: Click on the ‘Settings’ Module i.e. the gear icon at the top right as shown in Image 1.

Step 2: Click ‘ShiftPlanning’ tab from the left panel as shown in Image 2.

Step 3: Click the ‘Advanced’ tab from the top left corner as shown in Image 3.

Step 4: Enable ‘Manager must confirm shift trades and releases before requests are sent to other employees’ by checking the box under Shift Pickup, Trades and Approvals section as shown in Image 4.

Step 5: Enable ‘Manager must confirm shift trades and releases after another employee request to pick it up’ by checking the box under Shift Pickup, Trades and Approvals section as shown in Image 5.

Step 6: Click 'Save Settings' from top right or bottom left as shown in Image 6.

That's it, notifications and approval process will vary according to the way settings are defined.

Note:
Managers cannot change the potential cover selected by the employee in that request, however, there is an alternative way to change the employee if the manager wants to.
